International Transfers

International payment is a transfer of funds in foreign currency from the payer’s bank account in DNB bank to the beneficiary’s account with another payment service provider in a foreign country.

Types of International payments:

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) payment is a standardised international payment in euro to the EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Monaco. For more information about SEPA payments click here.

Payment within DNB group banks or partner banks is an express cross-border payment when the payer and the beneficiary are customers of DNB group bank or partner bank. Find more information about payments within DNB group here.

Standard International payment is a transfer of funds in various currencies to almost all countries around the world. Funds may be transferred within two or more banking days (standard payment), on the next banking day (urgent payment) or on the same banking day (express payment). Payments are made through correspondent accounts with the correspondent banks therefore for executing such transfer the details of the beneficiary’s correspondent bank in the respective currency are required (it is preferable to include the name, SWIFT (BIC, address)).

For standard international payments the customers can choose any of the below listed charging types:

OUR – the sending and receiving payment service providers’ fees are paid only by the payer.
SHA – the sending payment service provider’s fees are paid by the payer and the receiving payment service provider’s fees are paid by the beneficiary.
BEN – the sending and receiving payment service providers’ fees are paid only by the beneficiary.

Ways of making international money transfers

You can make an international money transfer to a foreign bank:

· By logging on to your DNB Internet banking – select the menu item “Bank” and the sub-menu item “Payments”, and then choose “International” and depending on the type of a transfer you are making select “Payment in euros to EEA countries (SEPA) ” or “Other payments in foreign currency”;

· By visiting the nearest customer service outlet and completing a payment order form.
