Local Transfers

 Local transfer is a money transfer in the national or any other currency within DNB bank or to the beneficiary’s account with another payment service provider in Lithuania.

Types of local transfers:

Transfers within DNB bank. It is the fastest and cheapest way to transfer money in any currency. The same fee is applicable to all transfers within DNB bank irrespective of the payment currency. Money transfers are executed on the same day if a payment order is given at the bank before 22.00, before 21.35 via electronic banking. Payment orders that are received after the specified hours are executed on the next day.

Transfers in Litas to other banks incorporated in Lithuania. These are payments executed only on bank working days using the payment system LITAS which is maintained and operated by the Bank of Lithuania. Such payments can be ”standard” or ”urgent”. Standard payment orders are executed on the same bank working day if a payment order is given at the bank before 14.30, before 14.40 via electronic banking. Urgent payment orders accepted before 15.30 are executed within 1 hour on bank working days. Payment orders received after the specified hours or on a non bank working day are executed on the next bank working day.

 Transfers in foreign currency to other banks incorporated in Lithuania. Money transfers in foreign currency to other banks incorporated in Lithuania are executed on the same day if a payment order is received before 16.00* and the beneficiary’s account is in AB Swedbank, UAB Medicinos Bankas, AB Šiaulių Bankas or AB Ūkio Bankas. If the beneficiary’s account is in another Lithuanian bank, a payment order is executed on the same day if given before 16.00* (in Euros), 15.00* (in US Dollars), 10.00 (in other currencies). Payment orders received after the specified hours or on a non bank working day are executed on the next bank working day.

*Before the public holidays and days-off the specified time is shorter by 1 hour.

Ways of making local transfers

 How to make a local transfer:

· Login to your DNB Internet banking system – menu item “Bank”, sub-menu item ”Payment orders“, choose ”Local transfer”.

· Come to the nearest customer service outlet and fill in a payment instruction (short or extended).
